Wow Emma, good for you for going through this experiment.

I'm a personal trainer myself, and I agree with you - it's not that different from weight watchers. And that in and of itself is not a bad thing, since weight watchers does have pretty good success rates.

Is it the best program ever? No, nothing is better than something personalized, but as far as generic programs, it's pretty good.

I find that diets have to fit not just a person's body, but their psychology as well.

For instance, my clients who are "numbers people" (accountants, engineers) LOVE counting. So I give them something to count - calories, protein, fibre, something.

Other clients are not numbers people, so I use different strategies with them.

Every strategy and tool (including Noom) works for some people, some of the time. But no strategy or tool works for all people, all the time.
